Darja Gutova
(Dasha for short)

Meet my wife Dasha. We met on courses of English language. At that time Dasha was a student of the Saint-Petersburg University of Culture And Arts. Originally she is from the town Sosnovy Bor (Pine-tree Forest), located in 50 miles (80km) far from Saint-Petersburg on the West.

At school Dasha went in for table tennis and she has a master degree in this kind of sport. After finishing the school she had to make a choice: to continue with table tennis or to study something else. She chose culture, art and tour-guiding.

During studying at the University Dasha started to practice as an interpreter with missionary teams (this experience led her to the courses of English). She graduated from the university in 2001, passed her diploma project with the highest mark.

Since that time she works as a tour-guide with groups of tourists from Russia and from abroad. She likes it and she is very good tour-guide — everybody who listen to her tours can confirm it.

In 2002 Dasha started to teach English and Tourism in the University of Culture And Arts.

Most of all my wife likes to travel. She also likes to take pictures, to ride bicycle (with me) and to read books, including fairy-tales, and to study history of our city — Saint-Petersburg.
