We expected Versailles to be a grandiose luxurious residence which
is more beautiful then Russian ones. But when we came there we wondered:
"And so what?". We – spoiled with the wealth
and taste of Tzar Village and Peterhof palaces tourists –
were disappointed with lack of gilding, multicolored façades
and dark sculptured Anyway soon we felt unique quiet charm of that place. Not only very large well-proportioned palace of King The Sun Louis XIV, but also classic parks, straight alleys, geomtrical-shaped trees and bushes, garden sculptures breath with quietness, comfort and charming beauty of that place.
One more discovery for us was a field with many sheep right next to The Palace and Parks. That was such a surprising and pastoral scene.
Now we know where Peter the Great got the idea of Peterhof ,"the capital of fountains", from. Finally we enjoyed visiting Versailles.
Disneyland as well as Versailles is located outside the city. It took about forty minutes by RER (suburban train) to get there. Paris Disneyland consists of three parts:
We explored all the Park that day. It made us impressed so much that we hardly left it. It is impossible to describe what we saw and felt there. So just enjoy the pictures:
After Disneyland Park we also managed to get to Disney Studios. It was rather late, therefore we only tired tour during that we were told (and shown) about making of the special effects in Hollywood films. It was very impressing. Then we went to pavilion, dedicated the movie Armageddon.
Disneyland Park is so colorful, so amusing, so interesting that we wanted to take it all with our pictures.
That was one of the best days we spent in Paris.
