Blanes is one more next door city. We have been there once — to visit Marimurtra Botanical Garden. The garden is located on the rock and occupies huge area (16.5 hectare).

The garden has been established by German naturalist Karl Faust in 1921. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful botanic gardens in Europe.

The garden is divided into several areas, dedicated to the vegetation of certain places of the world.

Dasha in the botanic garden

Look at the fence behind Dasha on the picture above. It is made of thin bricks. We saw lots of buildings and fences made of it. It seems very unpractical material. Looks like one more tradition...

As the garden lays on the coast, there are many places from where you can observe the sea.
